London’s Tube Alloys are a post-punk band, but their style differs from other prominent UK bands of recent times. They draw inspiration from bands like Wire, Swell Maps, and the Fall, with a more direct and energetic approach rather than being cerebral and verbose. Their songs feature catchy choruses reminiscent of “Academy Fight Song.” They are set to release an album called Magnetic Point soon, and they have just released their latest single, “Jubilee.” This song is a raucous and intense track with the repeated gang chorus of “Violent jubilee! Hardcore orgy!” It follows their previous single from last month, “Computer Love Again,” which included the provocative lyric “Patience is a virtue when you’re f**king or thinking.”
